Enrolments

In Western Australia, children can start their education in Kindergarten, however compulsory schooling starts the following year in Pre-primary.

Every child from Pre-primary to Year 12 is guaranteed a place at their local public school. Places in Kindergarten are limited, so we encourage you to apply early. Wherever possible this place will be at your local-intake school. Some schools may get more applications than they have places. Belmay is an independent local intake school and accepts students from Kindergarten to year 6 residing within our boundary.

You can find out what year your children need to start school using the school-age calculator - link below.

Enrolment is a two-step process.

  1. Submit an Application for Enrolment form (available from the school or download it below). It is helpful at this stage to support your application with documents showing proof of residence, proof of identity and vaccination status.
  2. If the application is accepted then you will be asked to complete an Enrolment form and a Student Health Care Summary, with supporting documentation.

All applications to enrol at Belmay PS are considered on a case by case basis, in accordance with the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy which can be found at http://www.det.wa.edu.au/policies.
